Rumble on the River Delivers a Thrilling Night of Boxing on the NYC Waterfront
Uprising Promotions brought Rumble on the River to Seaport Pier 16, and the results went well beyond the action inside the ropes.
Fight Around and Find Out, presented by Uprising Promotions in partnership with McDonald Worley Law Firm, goes down this Saturday night at Terminal 5 in New York City. The event benefits NYPD Cops & Kids Boxing, a privately funded youth boxing and mentoring program that has been serving New York City youth since 1985.
The card features 12 bouts in total, including five fights featuring active New York City police officers stepping into the ring, bringing an added layer of community pride and competitive spirit to an already compelling evening of amateur boxing.
Headlining the excitement is the return of former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams, who made his amateur boxing debut at Uprising Promotions’ Broad Street Brawl in May 2025, earning a unanimous decision victory over Sam Khatib in front of a packed house at the Léman Ballroom. The performance drew national media coverage from many top outlets and left fans eager to see what the former NBA star would do next in the ring. On Saturday night, they get to find out.
“It has been a pleasure to partner with McDonald Worley for Fight Around and Find Out. They are a group who genuinely cares about making a positive impact in the community, and that shared commitment is what makes this collaboration so special,” said Ronson Frank, President of Uprising Promotions. “NYPD Cops & Kids Boxing is doing incredible work for the youth of New York City, and we are proud to help shine a light on their mission. On top of that, we have an outstanding card lined up. The return of Michael Carter-Williams, police officers stepping into the ring, and a full night of entertaining bouts. Saturday at Terminal 5 is going to be a night to remember.”
Tickets for Fight Around and Find Out remain on sale, with general admission starting at $50. Reserved floor seats with an open bar are available for $100, and VIP tables are also available. Doors open at 6 PM, with the first bout at 7 PM. Tickets are available now at AXS.
Completely free for participants between the ages of 12 to 21, NYPD Cops & Kids Boxing operates multiple gyms across the five boroughs, providing young people with a safe haven, a path to discipline, and a positive alternative to the streets. The program is funded entirely through private donations and the NYPD Boxing Team, and has helped thousands of inner-city teens stay on a positive path in life.
